Apprenticeship opportunities from property maintenance specialists

  • 8 May 2015

Apprenticeship schemes have always been integral to Novus Property Solutions; the company’s current chairman and managing director both started out as apprentices.

The schemes, which have been running for over 75 years, have been described as “fantastic opportunities for young people with the right attitude and potential to build a career” by Glen Speight.

Glen Speight, who is based in Novus’ East Midlands office, was awarded the title of ‘Apprentice of the Year 2014’

As Novus’ current ‘Apprentice of the Year’, Glen has become a vocal supporter of his company’s apprenticeship programme.

Apprenticeship opportunities

Novus is currently offering full-time opportunities for 22 apprentices.

Positions are available across a number of trades, including decorating, maintenance, joinery and carpentry.

To mentor its apprentices throughout their training, Novus has employed apprentice managers.

These managers will also offer support for the apprentices as they complete their college-based learning.

Meanwhile, the apprentices are given the opportunity to develop their expertise on site by working alongside qualified tradespeople.

Interested candidates must be available for selection trials in August 2015; they need to be ready to enrol for their college course in September 2015.
