The Palace’s new doors were fitted with GEZE UK’s Slimdrive SL operators to allow for the steady flow of traffic

When Blenheim Palace introduced its ‘free Annual Pass’ ticket, its number of visitors began to grow.

Inspired by the increasing number of guests, the Blenheim Estate Construction team undertook a redevelopment project to make the Visitor’s Centre a safer place.

The Centre was fitted with automatic glass doors to enable its visitors to admire the Estate’s view whilst passing through.

GEZE UK’s Slimdrive SL automatic sliding door system was specified to manage the busy entrance.

The device was chosen to power the Centre’s new doors as its sensors are set to ensure that they open and close with enough time to let people through.

The operator has a compact design; standing at 7cm high, it is almost invisible in elevation.

GEZE UK has developed the system to be silent during operation so that it does not cause any disturbance.

The glass doors were also fitted with GEZE’s floor springs and patch fittings, which were both finished in ground stainless steel.
