BM TRADA announce dates for timber visual strength grading courses

BM TRADA’s timber VSG courses aim to improve the grading skills and knowledge of employees from the timber industry

BM TRADA’s VSG training courses are to be run by members of European Standards committees to ensure that the knowledge and information provided is p-to-date.

BM TRADA’s hardwood VSG training course will be delivered twice this year,with the first event taking place from 15th to 17th July and the second commencing on 25th November and finishing on 27th.

It aims to teach delegates about their responsibilities as graders and offer them the opportunity gain practical experience in grading lengths of hardwood.

The event will end with a formal VGS examination.

BM TRADA is also delivering three softwood training courses, which will run for five days at a time.

These courses will combine theoretical training with practical demonstration before concluding with a formal VSG exam. They are set to take place between 2nd and 6th February, 27th April and 1st May and 29th June and 3rd July.

Refresher courses are also available from 5th to 6th February, 30th April to 1st May and 2nd to 3rd July.
