Senior Architectural Systems has provided aluminium door and window systems for a newly completed Extra Care Charitable Trust residential development in Birmingham.
The refurbishment of the Victorian Marlborough Road School in Salford has included the installation of Senior Architectural Systems’ SPW600 aluminium window system and SCW curtain walling. Over 100 SPW600 aluminium windows were installed during term time to improve thermal efficiency. The original Victorian segmental aesthetic has been maintained using using specially fabricated windows glazed into Senior’s SCW curtain walling.
Independent testing of sliding systems from Reynaers Aluminium by SBD means they are now among the first aluminium systems companies to achieve the Secured by Design ‘Police Preferred Specification’, with approval for all three sliding systems for new homes and retrofit or renovation projects. Secured by Design is a police initiative to encourage architects and specifiers to help create a safer, more secure and sustainable environment.

Senior Architectural Systems’ SCW curtain wall and SMRPF frameless parallel push casement windows have been specified to complement timber cladding as part of the refurbishment of Abbey Grange Academy Leeds. The frameless window system creates a highly efficient natural ventilation system by bringing in fresh air from the bottom of the window and pushing out stale air from the top.
