Professional painters and decorators welcome Johnstone’s new Facebook page
The new Facebook page from Johnstone’s is a one-stop shop for online decorating needs including up-to-date product information, colour trends and technical advice.
The Facebook page will also offer all the latest news, case studies, product launches and competitions from the popular brand and will be integrated with its YouTube account so the audience can view the latest product demonstration videos.

Cummings & Pattison (North East) has applied over 250L of Johnstone’s Professional Gloss at the new Sustainable Enterprise Strategies (SES) Co-op Centre in Sunderland. The new centre has been constructed using adapted shipping containers. Suitable for metal finishes, Johnstone’s Professional Gloss provides a durable, high gloss finish to the exterior of the containers.
PPG Architectural Coatings, manufacturer of leading paint brands Johnstone’s and Leyland, is looking for UK Charities to become their next Charity partner. PPG extensive offer national exposure, including through its 187 Johnstone’s Decorating Centres. The charity must cover the UK and Ireland and be registered in one of these countries. PPG employees will vote to choose the company’s charity partner.
Johnstone’s has given the club shop at Crewe Alexandra Football Club a fresh new look using its Acrylic Durable Matt emulsion in Railwaymen Red – a colour that feature’s on the company’s Team Colours colour card. Acrylic Durable Matt was specified for its ability to provide a tough, durable finish that is resistant to yellowing and condensation. Johnstone’s has sponsored the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy since 2006.

During July and August 2013, Johnstone’s gave decorators the chance to test the application qualities of its Aqua Gloss water-based paint as part of the Aqua Challenge roadshow. Johnstone’s Aqua Gloss overcomes the impacts of legislative changes regarding solvent-based products but still boasts similar application qualities. It has been designed to offer shorter drying times, low odour and reduced yellowing.
A range of paints and finishes from Johnstone’s have been specified for the new, 13,000 capacity Leeds Arena. Johnstone’s washable Acrylic Eggshell and durable Covaplus have been used on plastered walls and stair soffits while the company’s Stormshield Smooth Masonry paint has been used to protect the exposed internal blockwork. Johnstone’s Flortred was applied to the concrete floors to ensure staff and visitor safety.
