Flag UK produces puncture free roofing membrane
Flag-Soprema UK
TPO single ply membrane
Flag UK's single ply membrane has been specified for a closable stadium roof for its adaptibility to movement and resistance to puncturing.
40,000m2 of Flag's recyclable TPO membrane was mechanically fixed in place on the roof of The Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.
With nitrates and phosphates found in bird droppings being an issue for large areas of roof such as this, TPO's resistance to chemicals in beneficial.
The membrane is also resistant to roots and micro-organisms.
TPO membrane has also been specified for Wembley's elliptical roof and several venues at the Athens Summer and Torino Winter Olympics.
Flag's UK sales director Steve Greaves commented, "Technical factors such as wind loading effects require a depth of technical support, while the benefit of Agrement certification is an additional source of confidence for specifiers".
