Redland solar PV systems on show at Ecobuild

With the ever-increasing need for new homes to be energy efficient, micro generation still represents an excellent mechanism for housebuilders, specifiers and installers looking to comply with regulations and solar PV remains the technology of choice.

On Redland's Ecobuild stand N3450 will be:.

* Three new Redland Solar PV Tiles, offering new inline solutions for natural slates, concrete and clay plain tiles as well as for the company's new interlocking Slate 10 range.

* Redland's On Top PV system, including its unique fixing hook designed to comply with forthcoming standard MCS 012.

Since launch in April 2010, Redland Solar PV Tiles have been installed by housebuilders, and contractors alike, proving particularly popular with planning authorities.

Being roof-integrated means Redland Solar PV Tile fits flush with the roof line, simply replacing a single course of tiles, providing an aesthetically pleasing and unobtrusive means of generating clean electricity.

Redland also offers an On-top PV system compatible with not only most of Redland's range of roof tiles and slates but also those from other manufacturers.

This system is perfect for the retrofit market and has a unique fixing hook designed and tested specifically for the UK market.

This is something not all manufacturers possess, with many on-top systems fixing kits designed for use in continental Europe and not for use in the UK.
