Hunter Douglas offers closed and open wood system

Hunter Douglas Sun Control + Facades

Solid wood system

The Hunter Douglas solid wood system is available in open and closed formats that can be specified as a fixed or demountable system, allowing easy access into the plenum.

The systems design ensures that the panels remain level and straight in all situations, including large, flat areas, externally and in swimming pool environments.

The Linear closed and open system has recently been installed at Pentewan Sands Holiday Park near St Austell, Cornwall.

Fitted in undulating curved patterns, the wave form design ceiling blends sympathetically with the building and the Eugene Sellors, SLuRP design scheme.

The rail is pre-curved in the factory to the specified radius.

In order to improve interior sound control, the Hunter Douglas Linear Wood panels are provided with an acoustic felt, glued at the top of the joint.

To further enhance the acoustic properties, sound absorbing mineral wool panels can be laid over the panels.

There is an extensive choice of wood species available, ranging from Western Red Cedar, Merbau or Mahogany to Poplar, Maple or Ayous.

Upon request, almost every kind of wood required can be used and can be finished in transparent lacquer or stained in any colour.
