Argeton glazed tiles

Telling Architectural has supplied Argeton tiles to Benson Industries for the creation of terracotta rainscreen cladding for the Legacy Emanuel Children's Hospital in Oregon.

Argeton tiles were delivered to Benson Industries' plant in Mexico where they were unitised into an aluminium curtain wall before being transported to site for crane installation in modular sections.Designed by ZGF Architects, the facade has a profile of tile to soften the large unbroken areas of cladding.

Precision joining and large format tiles of up to 1,200mm in length create a modern and lightweight natural clay cladding.

Glaze development and die preparation for the tile was carried out over three months.

The Legacy Emanuel project is the second largest project Telling Architectural has undertaken with Benson Industries having supplied Argeton to the Atlantic Terminal in New York in 2003.

Telling and Argeton continue their expansion as designer and manufacturer of affordable clay rainscreen cladding and sunscreen systems.

Vertically hung tiles, new colours, textures and profiles are being continually developed.

Telling offers design and advice from conception to site installation and is involved in design along with the training of contractors.

Telling provides design services specific to its range of specialist facade systems as well as providing single source responsibility for entire schemes.

These include curtain walling, glazing, multi discipline cladding systems and ancillary works.
