Sudlows win McCormick Foods contract
Sudlows
McCormick Foods contract
Sudlows electrical expertise helped them secured the contract to provide NICEIC electrical services project across three sites for McCormick Foods.
Sudlows were invited to carry out detailed testing to ensure a resilient electrical infrastructure, which would have a real impact on the management and maintenance of their building environment.
With no previous site reference documentation from the client, Sudlows had to call upon their advanced electrical expertise to ensure the site's Miniature Circuit break was operating safely.
Within the short agreed timescale, Sudlows team of specialist electrical engineers were responsible for testing a total of 80 electrical distribution boards controlling all power and lighting circuits across each of the three specified sites.
The demanding nature of the manufacturing industry meant the engineers at Sudlows were required to work under time sensitive schedules when production was limited so that maximum uptime of operations could be maintained across their critical facilities.
Sudlows performed a full visual inspection of the installation looking at the continuity of protective and circuit conductors and breakers throughout the whole area to determine that infrastructures were working safely.
Engineers then isolated all critical power to the circuits in order to test the electrical distribution boards, which required the team to work quickly and efficiently to minimise downtime.
Ian Bracegirdle, Engineering Manager at McCormick, commented: 'The challenge that we presented to Sudlows was logistically complex, yet Sudlows totally understood that strong project management was detrimental to keeping the business running, making it their prime aim to carefully plan, manage and deliver the project from the offset.
Now McCormick are in a much healthier position to manage the complete electrical infrastructure and look forward to working with Sudlows in the future'.
