Weatherite Building Services (WBS) supplied Cambridgeshire County Council with upgraded kitchen ventilation systems at six primary schools.

The work, at the six primary schools in Wisbech, St Neots and Swavesey, is part of the first two phases of a five-year programme of kitchen safety improvements for the council's School Meals service.

The aim of the programme is to bring all the county's schools up to current standards relating to commercial kitchen ventilation, gas safety and kitchen hygiene.

As part of this major improvement programme, WBS supplied and installed all the kitchen ventilation canopies, dishwasher canopies, fans, air handling units, gas interlink systems and ductwork, as well as carrying out the associated mechanical Working closely with the Main Project Contractor, Andy Knott Construction , the Architect, David Turnock Architects and the MandE Consultant, Cunnington Clark, ensured that the mechanical installation met with the Council's requirements to the WBS sister company Weatherire Shopfronts and Shutters also supplied and installed shutters to the serveries at several of the schools.
