SitexOrbis boosts green credentials with ISO 14001
SitexOrbis
ISO 14001 accreditation
SitexOrbis has become one of the first vacant property and people protection businesses to gain accreditation to international environment management standard ISO 14001.
In addition to reducing further the impact of activities on the environment, it is hoped the move will also help customers with green agendas.
Significant reductions have already been achieved by the company through recycling and the use of greener products for cleaning, and several more projects are in the early stages.
The company's network of branch offices covering the UK are all included in the audit programme conducted by the ISO certification body, ISOQAR.
The international standard provides the requirements for environmental management systems (EMS) that set out ways to identify and achieve matters related to environmental performance.
A key aim is to ensure environmental issues are included in decision making practices.
Recently, the company achieved another accreditation for the newly published BS8484 for lone worker device services.
