New products at Ecobuild
New solar product range on show includes a 200 litre cylinder and pump station which will work in conjunction with Alpha's InTec range of system boilers, and the new Air Tec air source heat pump.
This works dynamically in conjunction with Alpha's InTec boiler range - creating a further bolt-on heating system solution.
Their core boiler range has also welcomed a new addition in the form of a new InTec floor standing storage combi boiler.
Steve Hopkins, Product Marketing Manager, at Alpha said: 'The products we are bringing to this year's Ecobuild represent the intensive research, innovation and development that we put into delivering system solutions to the heating market.
Our new renewable and low carbon products have been designed to work in conjunction with our latest InTec boiler range, further increasing our bolt-on whole house heating offering'.
Also on the stand will be a wall hung FlowSmart system, PV solutions, SolarSmart - which features one roof panel, one x DBU and one cylinder - and the recently launched InTec boiler range along with their full range of new accessories and controls.
In addition, Alpha will be showing a product from their light commercial boiler range, the CD70S boiler with the flue gas heat recovery GasSaver, offering low carbon solutions, not only to the larger domestic market but also commercial markets.
Alpha's products also feature in Cool Concrete, the house which follows Lafarge's '20 rules of sustainable construction'.
Alpha has fitted a variety of boiler systems at a new housing development in Hertfordshire, with 13 different heating solutions to accommodate the varied heating needs of each property.
InTec Trace Heating Kit from Alpha Heating Innovation is an easy to install accessory, compatible with Alpha’s InTec range of boilers, that prevents the external condensate pipe from freezing when the outside temperature drops below 2°C, with minimal electrical consumption. When it is below 2°C and the boiler is running, the trace heating wire is activated, causing it to heat up and prevent the condensate from freezing.
Installer Ryan Faint chose to install Alpha InTec 34C boilers with a SolarSmart 100 solar thermal system from Alpha Heating Innovations to dramatically cut down installation time and meet the strict requirements for high domestic hot water demand on a project for two, three-storey townhouses in Wadhurst, East Sussex. InTec plus SolarSmart 100 met the SAP requirements of the build.
Alpha Heating Innovation present a CPD seminar to help engineers assess the impact on SAP and the Code for Sustainable Homes.
The Alpha SolarSmart system, installed on a Larkfleet Homes bungalow retrofit project, achieve savings of 1.38 tonnes of CO2 a year.
