Backersafe titanium sheathed immersion heaters
Titanium Products now offers Backersafe titanium sheathed immersion heaters as part of its product range.
Titanium sheathed elements have been available as an alternative to copper and nickel alloy for some time.
They are used primarily in domestic hot water systems in hard water areas and provide benefits against scale build-up and corrosion.
Titanium Products has selected the Backer Electric Company range of Backersafe titanium sheathed heaters.
Backersafe heaters are manufactured to BSEN60335 - 2-73.
Backersafe ensures that the immersion heater is isolated from the mains supply should the primary thermostat fail with the contacts closed.
The heaters feature a low cost thermostat, also with a reset button thermostat in series with the rod thermostat.
John Turner, managing director, said: "Providing an online, ex stock facility for competitively priced and complete, titanium sheathed heaters, and supplying to contractors and installers, is a natural extension of our involvement in the domestic and light commercial water heating market".
