Energy efficient underfloor heating and cooling systems from Thermo-Floor can provide underfloor cooling for free.
Neil Evans, General Manager of Thermo-Floor explains, 'This is possible if you already have a Thermo-Floor underfloor heating system installed with a ground source heat pump and a low temperature manifold (such as a LTS-N or a LTV- K).
By controlling the system so the ground water is pumped through the heat exchanger and bypassing the heat pump, the ground water will, through the heat exchanger, cool the return water from the underfloor heating system.
This water is then passed through the pipes laid beneath the floor and through radiant heat exchange will cool the ambient air temperature of the room'.
