Latest installer training days
Leading heating specialist Honeywell has launched its latest programme of installer training days, in line with its 'Fit a Thermostat' campaign.
For installers who want a better understanding of heating systems and modern control systems, installer training days feature in-depth information on installation best practice, detailed wiring demonstrations and practical sessions.
The day also offers advice on the different products available, when and where to use them, guidance on installing wireless thermostats; and information on the latest changes to Part L of the building regulations - including zoning.
In most cases, the installer decides on the type of heating control fitted when carrying out any changes to a home's heating system, meaning that installers are best placed to educate their customers to heating controls that offer the greatest energy saving potential.
So for an installer, understanding the customer benefits associated with zoning is just as important as being aware of how they must comply with these regulations.
The training days have been designed to provide installers with this knowledge.
To complement the course, Honeywell has also developed a Heating Zone Calculator available on www.fitathermostat.com/zoning.
It is designed to calculate the zones an installer needs to allocate in any given situation, when either retrofitting or installing a new system in a property.
