The ElecoFrame system
Eleco Timber Frame has supplied its offsite open panel engineered timber framing system for community housing.
The ElecoFrame system has been installed in properties provided by an independent charity organisation in Liverpool.
The system is comprised of high grade structural timber, sourced from PEFC and FSC accredited forests.
The system is made up of of three main components; open panel walls, ElecoFloor and EcoJoist.
E-WT-3, Eleco Timber Frame's separating wall has been accredited with Robust Detail status.
The open panel system is provided through an engineered nail plating technology.
The ElecoFrame external and separating walls use a stud depth of 97mm or down to 72mm for one or two storey houses, instead of the deeper conventional stud size of 140mm.
This results in a total external wall thickness of 300mm, achieving U-values of 0.14W/m2k.
The Ecojoist is a pre-engineered, made to measure floor joist which results in less onsite wastage, and the open web profile allows pipe work and services to be installed quickly and easily.
