A major £4.1 million upgrade and refurbishment at Donyngs Leisure Centre, Redhill includes 2,000sq m of Sika Sarnafil waterproofing roofing system. Specialist trade contractor, Vision Design Projects, completed this re-roofing project and explained that because the existing roof area was to be retained, the choice of a mechanically fixed Sarnafil system proved to be the best fit and was preferable over a liquid applied or a bonded system.

Williams Professional Decorators chose Dulux Trade Diamond Matt to provide protection for the £24 million regeneration of Derby City Council’s office building. Dulux Trade Mouldshield Fungicidal Matt was selected for the basement of the property, as it contains a fungicide which inhibits the growth of fungi and mould. The project achieved a Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) rating of ‘excellent’.

The new Leisure Centre for Sandwell Council was designed and built by Places for People Leisure, in partnership with Pellikaan Construction Ltd and Roberts Limbrick Architect. Throughout the extensive project, Mapei systems were specified from the substrate to the finishing materials, in order to provide a warrantable system build-up. The pool and floor installations were carried out by Buckingham Pools, CJM Tiling Ltd and Phoenix Flooring.

James Cubitt & Partners architects specified a wide range of Forbo Flooring Systems’ products to transform out-dated premises into smart modern industrial global headquarters for Cummins Generator Technologies in Peterborough. This also helped the project win the 2014 Fly Forbo competition. Forbo’s luxurious Westbond carpet tiles in poppy colour shade created a vibrant contrast in the reception area alongside a robust concrete colourway.
