Birmingham City University’s new 18,310m2 campus features Earthwool rock mineral wool insulation from Knauf Insulation. A through wall solution was specified for the project comprising 5,000m2 of 100mm Earthwool Rainscreen Slab – a water repellant rock mineral slab designed for rainscreen cladding applications. Earthwool helped achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating for the new campus and was quick and easy to install.

BBA accreditation has been awarded to Dow Building Solutions for its Styrofoam Roofmate SL-A extruded polystyrene (XPS) insulation, designed for insulating inverted flat roofs. Roofmate SL-A is known as a top performing inverted roof insulation but BBA certification will give contractors extra confidence when specifying it.
