  • 4 Mar 2015

The Changing Places toilets include an adult-sized changing bed for people who need a carer for help with their personal hygiene

The new Changing Places toilets have been fitted in each of the airport’s three terminals.

They are clearly signposted throughout the establishment to ensure that they can be easily found by customers.

The facilities have been installed for airport visitors who need the help of a carer for their personal hygiene.

Changing Places toilets feature an adult-sized changing bench and basin to help carers change and wash their loved ones.

The height can be adjusted for both the changing bench and the basin.

A telephone is also located outside each facility to allow for easy access.

The equipment for Changing Places toilets is supplied and installed by Clos-o-Mat. The company also fit each facility with a hoist for additional support.

Clos-o-Mat have contributed to the creation of Changing Places toilets across the UK.

The toilets have been installed in public venues, including the National Exhibition Centre, Wembley Stadium and Trafford Centre.

Other airports such as East Midlands and Gatwick have also benefited from the installation of the toilets and washrooms.
