TriAx® design solution
Tensar International’s TriAx® design solution has been used in the construction of a 17.9 km bypass to improve traffic flow in Gdansk, Poland, including the route to the UEFA Euro 2012 football tournament.
Tensar TriAx® has been used in the sub-base construction to help combat differential settlement across the poor soil of the Wistula river delta and minimise frost heave caused by Poland’s severe winters.
The Tensar TriAx® design solution mechanically stabilised the sub-base of the road and minimised any differential settlement. It is quick and easy to install, requires less aggregate than conventional road design and provides protection against any movement as a result of the sub-zero temperatures.
