Ultra Floor
Stafford Tiles and Flooring Solutions completed subfloor preparation to lay a new decorative floor in the Laura Ashley store in Stafford, using Ultra Floor products.
When flooring projects are required within the retail sector time is never a luxury, and the job's window is always a small one.
To ensure a successful completion the team at Stafford Tiles and Flooring Solutions .
used subfloor preparation products from Ultra Floor - a brand they trust.
The original substrate had been untouched for five years, and therefore required extensive surface preparation to remove paints and laitance.
Ultra Floor Prime IT AR was then used to prepare the surface.
Priming is an essential part of the flooring application process and is one that must be completed effectively every time.
Consideration as to which type of primer is most appropriate for each substrate is of utmost importance.
Prime IT AR and Prime IT N are specialist primers both available from Ultra Floor.
Ultra Floor Prime IT AR is an acrylic polymer emulsion primer suited for use over porous substrates such as concrete and sand/cement screeds.
It was used on this project to prepare the surface, enhancing adhesion and sealing it prior to levelling with Ultra Floor Level IT two.
A traditional two-part powder and liquid system, Level IT two is ideal for levelling uneven internal substrates prior to the application of a floor covering.
The two-part system allows for fast and efficient mixing preparation as there is no requirement to add water.
Level IT two, Ultra Floor's best selling floor levelling compound, combines excellent flow characteristics with strong adhesion properties through the inclusion of a synthetic latex liquid component.
This liquid component provides increased flexural capacity, ensuring Level IT two has exceptional compatibility with timber substrates.
The product's formulation is free from ammonia, creating a very low odour material suitable for confined areas as well as open.
In addition, the product is designed to compensate for shrinkage, is polymer modified and free of protein.
Following subfloor preparation a Karndean decorative covering was then fixed.
The store has now reopened to the public in all its new glory.
