Dr. Martens launches DM’s Lite safety footwear range

  • 3 Oct 2016

Dr. Martens has announced the launch of its new collection of safety footwear, which has been designed to provide both security and comfort on-site.

With over 50 years of experience in the shoe-making industry, Dr. Martens has engineered its DM’s Lite range to offer comfortable safety footwear, which is equally lightweight and functional.

Designed to adhere to the safety specifications of EN ISO 20345:2011, the range comprises three styles – Calamus, Corvid and Linnet – which each boast a range of safety benefits. The boots include a composite toe cap, a puncture-resistant, anti-static midsole and a slip-resistant Nitrile rubber outsole.

DM’s Lite collection

Available in Oxblood and Black, the Calamus benefits from a three-part TPU upper-moulding, which is injected directly onto a breathable synthetic mesh. The Corvid model has been manufactured with a full-grain leather upper in an oiled finish, whilst the Linnet utility shoe offers a low-cut alternative.

Each shoe includes a contoured Softwair antistatic footbed with moisture wicking properties; the breathable lining is treated with antimicrobial. To enhance comfort, a padded collar and tongue have been included and the memory foam is shaped to provide arch support.

Slip and heat resistance is achieved through the Nitrile rubber outsole.

The Calamus is available in UK sizes 6-13, whilst the Corvid and Linnet can be purchased in sizes 3-13.
