Fakro GB
FAKRO's extensive range of roof windows, roofing accessories and loft ladders is sold exclusively via a nationwide network of builders and roofing merchants, with distribution from a purpose-built, 33,000 sq.ft. high bay warehouse in Swadlincote. The roof window range includes natural pine, white PU-coated pine and PVC roof products in white, pine and oak finishes. The company also has the largest range of conservation roof windows currently available and has more recently introduced solar thermal panel systems and light tunnels.
FAKRO's continuing emphasis on innovation has led to industry leading developments such as the quadruple-glazed FTT U8 roof window. This has an unbeatable U-value in a standard product of 0.58W/m2K thereby surpassing Passivhaus and EnerPHit requirements. The topSafe® system of hinge and lock reinforcement provides a minimum standard of security and safety of Class 3 - EN13049 and all pine roof windows are equipped with an automatic vent to ensure that the optimum balance of fresh air is maintained without unnecessary heat loss. The popular FTP-V Centre Pivot roof window was the first to achieve BBA certification and products such as the FTT U6 triple-glazed, FPP preSelect® and equivalent windows in conservation style are also certified. Timber has FSC chain of custody certification for the sustainability of its source.
A universal installation system makes it possible to install windows on rafters or battens from within the roof space at varying depths to suit the tile profile. Importantly, this ensures that conservation windows can be installed low within the roof line to suit natural or man-made slates. Conservation windows are also routinely manufactured to meet bespoke design requirements.
