GGF’s FIT Show speakers announced

The Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) has announced that it will be presenting on three key topics at The FIT Show 2017 taking place from 23-25 May at Birmingham NEC.

Director of Home Improvement, Brian Smith, will discuss resolving disputes, Technical Officer Russell Day will be speaking on glazing in conservation areas and Phil Pinnington, Director of Health and Safety, will cover accidents in the industry.

Day 1 (23 May) 12:10-12:40 – Don’t get mad! Get even!

Home Improvement Director at GGF, Brian Smith, discusses the difficulties of resolving disputes with consumer and explains how the GGF conciliation process can turn a nightmare of a dispute into a dream.

Day 2 (24 May) 12:10-12:40 – A Guide to Glazing in Conservation Areas

GGF Senior Technical Officer Russell Day, will cover the planning framework, the process with local planning officers and the work the GGF Heritage Window Group is doing to change hearts and minds on an issue that’s costing installers millions of pounds each year.

Day 3 (25 May) 11:30-12:10 – Accidents will happen! But why risk it?

Health and Safety expert at GGF, Phil Pinnington, advises how companies can easily avoid the worst case scenarios as more company directors are being fined and even imprisoned for negligence.

The GGF was pleased to provide three expert speakers and support the seminar programme at the glass and glazing industry’s largest UK trade show, according to the Director of Marketing and Communications, James Lee.

This year’s FIT Show promises to showcase the industry’s finest companies. The GGF Group Stand can be found in Hall 8, Stand N30 at The FIT Show.
