Utilities supplier, GPS PE Pipe Systems is contributing to work on a €200m infrastructure project in France after supplying its polyethylene Push-Fast pipe and fitting system to the RTE (Reseau de transport d’electricite).
GPS PE Pipe Systems launch Enviro-Line, a high performance PE pipe designed specifically for re-usable water supplies including rainwater harvesting, grey water and irrigation applications. It has been launched to help specification of sustainable commercial and residential developments, providing a flexible and durable re-useable water infrastructure that avoids the risk of cross contamination with potable water supplies thanks to its black with green stripe colour coding.
The safe open air storage period of high performance Excel 3c polyethylene (PE) pipes, the complete clean bore solution from GPS PE Pipe Systems, have now been extended after independent tests demonstrated that they can be safely stored for 12 months without biological compromise. Excel 3c clean, capped, coiled pipes are chosen by UK’s water companies for speed of installation, cost and environmental advantages.
GPS PE Pipe Systems has supplied over 19km of its blue polyethylene pipe for a £10m project to reduce groundwater abstraction at Speen water treatment works in West Berkshire. The company provided SDR11 and SDR17 355mm pipe to tackle varying water pressures along the M4 motorway route. Bespoke transition pieces were also provided to accommodate wall thickness changes.
GPS PE Pipe Systems plastic pipes, usually supplied to the water industry, have been supplied for ground works for the redevelopment of Rocks by Rail, a living ironstone museum in Rutland. GPS was first established, over a century ago, as Stewards & Lloyds, one of the UK’s largest iron and steel makers in Corby using local iron ore.
