Stair edging for Premier Inn

Gradus stair edging featured at Premier Inn hotels

Gradus’ slip-resistant RXT21 stair edging has been installed to ensure safe use of staircases in several Premier Inn properties.

With more than 700 establishments in Britain and Ireland, Premier Inn is the UK’s largest hotel chain. It is also one of its most popular; the company obtained high scores for customer satisfaction and value for money on 2015’s Which? Hotel Report.

Premier Inn is currently renovating a number of its hotels. Gradus’ RXT521 double channel PVC hardnose stair edging has been specified for installation in each property, including the hotel in Sheffield City Centre, on Angel Street.

Comprising a PVC-u channel and riser, the RXT21 stair edging has been designed to provide a visual contrast for guests as they ascend and descend the stairs.

The stair edging benefits from a wrap-around design: the slip-resistant insert extends around the leading edge of the profile, ensuring that foot contact is made safely.

The profile provides additional durability to the step edge, whilst protecting users. Its safety benefits appealed to Premier Inn, which experiences large volumes of guests and staff using the stairs in its premises on a daily basis.
