‘Energy Management’

A Buildingtalk guide

Start with the news release Door-Stop: The first ever energy rated door from Door-Stop International, which we summarised at the time by saying "Door-Stop has launched the first UK energy rated doors, just two weeks after the British Fenestration Ratings Council (BFRC) introduced the DER scheme.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Dimplex evacuated tube solar collector from Dimplex UK: "Dimplex now offer more flexibility for specifiers by adding a high efficiency evacuated tube solar collector to its solar thermal water heating range.".

In September 2011, we covered the news from Concrete Centre - take a look at Basement solution to shoe-box homes which says: "Guy Thompson, head of architecture and sustainability at The Concrete Centre, believes the provision of basements would help counter RIBA criticism of 'shameful shoe-box homes'.".

Take a look also at the news release from Stride Treglown, Carbon neutral Stride Treglown office, as well as SAS International for acoustics at Dublin Airport from SAS International, and National consumer poll by super-fabricator Sierra from Epwin Group.
