‘Galvanizing’

A Buildingtalk guide

Start with the news release SWA secure steel as the best line of defence from Steel Window Association, which we summarised at the time by saying "Steel Window Association initiative under which W40 and EB24 steel windows accredited as 'police preferred specification' by the Association of Chief Police Officers scheme for 'Secured By Design'.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Zinc growth as a sustainable building material from Umicore V M Zinc: "Around 30% of all manufactured zinc uses recycled material, and the material is now used extensively as a lighter, less expensive replacement for cast iron guttering and lead for roofing".

In April 2008, we covered the news from Medway Galvanising - take a look at Galvanising and powder coating under one roof which says: "Medway Galvanising programme of process improvements and investment keeps them on top.".

Take a look also at the news release from Umicore V M Zinc, Zinc 'Grand Designs' honours for sustainability, as well as Zinc sustainability credentials from Umicore V M Zinc, and Zinc guttering - lighter and longer lasting from Umicore V M Zinc.
