Influential broadcast journalists John Humphreys, Krishnan Guru-Murthy and Steph McGovern will play an important role in steering the conversation and tackling the key issues facing the industry through a comprehensive content schedule of high profile debates, panel discussions, CPD seminars and practical workshops.
John Humphreys will take to the stage on day one to discuss topics including governmental policy, the housing crisis and the economy.
The journalist and broadcaster started his career for the BBC in 1966, and is now a presenter on BBC Radio 4’s long-standing The Today Programme.
BBC Financial Correspondent Steph McGovern will chair day two on the main stage, taking a closer look at the industry’s skills shortage in addition to key infrastructure projects on the horizon.
Krishna Guru-Murthy will lead the final day of proceedings on the main stage as the show focuses on topics such as procurement opportunities, BIM and unifying the industry.
Krishna’s career as a broadcast journalist has spanned over five British general elections, and in 2010 he was nominated for the Presenter of the Year Award at the Royal Television Society Journalism Awards.
Richard Morey, Group Events Director at Media 10, the event company producing UK Construction Week, commented: Right from the start we have set out to create a content schedule that tackles the real issues facing the industry today and so its crucial that the hosts have the experience and skills to ask those probing, challenging questions that really bring the debate to life.
To have such heavy weight figures as John Humphreys, Steph McGovern and Krishnan Guru-Murthy come on board to host the main stage is a privilege I cannot wait to see what they bring to the table.
