Stannah has released a CD containing information on the company’s passenger lifts, access lifts, goods lift, escalators and moving walkways.
It also contains information about lift servicing, maintenance and refurbishment.The CD provides a reference for specifiers, including brochures, leaflets and case studies together with technical datasheets.Stannah has updated the CD with the Lift Services Brochure; Escalators and Moving Walkways brochure; Lifts - Your Questions Answered booklet; the Access Lift brochure; Access Lifts case studies; Manual Handling leaflet and updated data sheets.
Stannah’s new hydraulic-drive Midilift SLplus vertical cabin platform lift has been specified for a new community centre in London which is part of the Blackfriars Settlement charity. The new lift is capable of carrying a 400kg load at 0.15m/s between two floors covering a distance of 3,510mm. It features fully glazed panoramic landing doors with a satin stainless steel interior.

A group of thirteen Stannah Group engineers recently collected their certificates after completing the NVQ Level 3 Engineering Maintenance (lift services) and EOR/202 in an Engineering Environment, Basic Lift Safety qualifications. The Stannah Group offers apprenticeships each year with a view to extending trainees’ formal qualifications, confidence and capability.

Hall Green Secondary School in Birmingham has undergone an access refurbishment which has included the installation a Maxilift MRC (motor room cabinet) passenger lift and three Midilift platform lifts from Stannah Lifts. The Maxilift MRC passenger lift carries eight people and is sighted in the school’s main teaching block. Two Midilift SL vertical platform lifts and a Midilift XLplus vertical platform lift offer access throughout the rest of the school.
