The new anchor systems and direct fasteners have been designed specifically for M&E contractors.

Available in a range of sizes and finishes, they are suitable for cable tray, junction box, fixing channel support system and suspended lighting system applications.

The Snake mechanical anchor is an internally threaded screw anchor.

Considerably faster to install than a drop-in anchor, it provides holding strength and complete grip over the anchor’s length.

This makes it suitable for M&E fixing applications, such as lighting systems and ventilation ducting.

The Snake anchor, which is self-tapping, can also be used in suspension applications.

Complete with a drill bit and a setting tool, the anchor can be installed quickly with a DeWALT power tool.

It is available with M8 and M10 internal threads; an M12 option is also available for heavier loads.

Heavy and light duty mechanical anchors

DeWALT’s range of internally threaded DM drop-in anchors have been designed for anchoring electrical fittings and ventilation systems.

These anchors carry F120 fire resistance, ETA option 7 approval for uncracked concrete and option 6 approval for cracked concrete.

DeWALT’s other heavy duty mechanical anchors include its PTB-PRO throughbolts and its FHS sleeve anchors for masonry and concrete substrates.

The DeWALT Tapper-Pro concrete screws and the DeWALT Zip-It plasterboard fixings, meanwhile, are classed as lighter duty products.

DeWALT’s C5 Trak-It gas nailer has been developed to allow for the direct fastening of temporary and permanent lighting systems.

The tool is able to nail into concrete and steel; per fuel cell, it can drive up to 900 nails.

It holds ERA approval for XH nails in concrete applications.
