New automatic sliding door combines aesthetics with security

  • 10 Jul 2015

DORMA’s Secure model is the latest addition to its FLEX family. Alongside the ST FLEX and ST FLEX Green models, the new automatic sliding door has been designed to provide an aesthetically pleasing door system for contemporary properties.

ST FLEX Secure automatic sliding door has been developed to provide anti-intruder and anti-vandalism protection, whilst maintaining a stylish aesthetic

The ST FLEX Secure offers a fine-framed frontage to a home; it has been specifically developed to retain transparency without compromising on security.

Optimum security

Tested to RC2 resistance standard, the automatic sliding doors make use of laminated safety glass and a secure four-point locking device.

Anti-tamper protection – along with a continuous floor guide rail – prevents the door from being levered out.

The door-set also utilises a monitored battery back-up system, making it suitable for emergency escape routes.

In addition to this, the ST FLEX Secure is compatible with DORMA’s CODIC MasterCard and MATRIX Professional Access Control solutions. It can be fully integrated with DORMA access control.

An innovative approach to access control

Compatible with all of DORMA’s automatic doors, the Bluetooth SmartKey App has been dubbed as an “innovative approach to access control.”

The App replaces traditional fob or card authentication with remote access through a watch or smartphone.

This eliminates the need for wall readers; the technology is integrated into the door system, adding to its minimalist appearance.

It also reduces the risk of abuse and potential tampering.

The App is scheduled for release in early 2016.
