REHAU has appointed Henry Simms as its new Facilities Officer, bringing a wealth of experience and valuable knowhow across health and safety and construction design management to the role.
In an strategic appointment that looks set to support REHAU’s ambitious growth plans, Henry will oversee operations in the company’s UK and Scandinavian sites (Sweden, Denmark and Norway). He will look after site acquisitions, take control of lease hold management and monitor the health and safety remit in these regions.
He joins REHAU from Cardiff Community Housing Association, where he had a pair of roles since 2010. He enjoyed a successful stint as a Lead Maintenance Officer for over five years, before taking on responsibility as a Projects Manager (Maintenance) for more than two years.
Henry expressed his excitement towards taking on the role at REHAU.
“I am particularly look forward to continuing the brands stringent focus on health and safety across all levels within the organisation,” he said.
“The health and safety of a business is very important to customers today and I am confident that my knowledge in this area will help support the business as it drives forward.
“In addition to this, I am also keen to improve areas of compliance across all REHAU sites and am already looking at introducing a minimum standard requirement from all supplier stakeholders to ensure continuity in the premium quality of all REHAU‘s products.”
Paul Sabel, Administration Manager at REHAU, added: “Henry brings valuable know-how to REHAU and will be an asset to our team. His knowledge in Construction Design and Management (CDM), lease hold management and health and safety will be invaluable as we look to expand our network and define more innovative solutions for our customers.”
Henry possesses a BSc(Hons) Building Maintenance & Management from the University of Wales Institute Cardiff, and is also Certified Member of the British Institute of Facilities Management (CBIFM).
He is further certified as a Chartered Construction Manager (MCIOB) and a Chartered Building Engineer (MCABE) (C.BUILDE).
