Aardvark vehicle tracking boosts customer service

An Aardvark Concrete product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Jun 30, 2009

Volumetric concrete supplier Aardvark Concrete has revealed vehicle tracking technology enables communicating with and monitoring of its fleet.

Navman Wireless's advanced system is now become integral to Aardvark's day-to-day operations.

It is key to offering customers guaranteed 30 minute delivery slots.

"We have to respond very quickly to customer requests because of their project deadlines," explained John Kilroe, Managing Director at Aardvark Concrete.

"They like to know when their concrete is arriving and so the vehicle tracking software system is on all day, and is monitored by all office staff".

"This enables us to guarantee the 30 minute delivery slots for every customer - much more specific than the usual am or pm slots other companies will give".

Aardvark Concrete is based in Stockport and operates a fleet of 14 vehicles; all are fitted with Navman Wireless vehicle tracking.

"Navman Wireless is an invaluable asset to our company, we couldn't function without it," John added.

"We try to achieve six drops per truck per day but to achieve the sixth drop, we need to save time wherever we can - this is when vehicle tracking comes into its own".

Navman Wireless is the UK's largest manufacturer of tracking, messaging and navigation equipment helping companies to cut costs, from fuel to administration time, maximise profitability and improve efficiency.
