Aarsleff wins new schools contracts
Educo UK, joint venture of contractors Costain and Ferrovial Agroman, has awarded Aarsleff Piling contracts to install foundation piles for three new schools in Bradford.
Educo UK, a joint venture of contractors Costain and Ferrovial Agroman, has awarded Aarsleff Piling three separate contracts worth a combined total of approximately GBP430,00 to install foundation piles for three new schools in Bradford, West Yorkshire Aarsleff will install a mixture of nearly 1,450 precast concrete and tubular steel piles at Tong High School, Buttershaw High School and Salt Grammar School

Piling started initially at Tong in mid January and will be followed by weekly interval starts at Buttershaw and Salt.
All three piling projects are expected to be completed in nine weeks.
The three new schools, which are scheduled to be fully operational by early 2008, are in the first phase of Bradford Metropolitan District Council's GBP400 million, 30 year Building Schools for the Future programme.
The second phase will create new and remodelled schools that integrate special needs facilities with mainstream secondary education.
Building Schools for the Future is the UK government's investment in education to promote a new approach to the design, construction and operation of secondary schools.
During the next 10-15 years, all the secondary schools in England will be renewed and rebuilt.
The BSF in Bradford is being facilitated in partnership with Integrated Bradford, a consortium of Amey, Costain and HSBC Infrastructure Fund Management.
Costain in joint venture with Ferrovial Agroman will provide the construction services.
