Dynamic new name in Building Services 'Inviron' has secured its first contract award - the provision of Building Services Maintenance for BACS Limited.

The contract follows on from relocation of BACS Limited from its long-standing home in Edgware, North West London, to a new site The BACS organisation, one of the world's largest automated clearing houses, is responsible for processing over four billion direct Direct Debits and Direct Credits a year

In addition BACS Limited provides a host of other vital transaction services for banks and their customers.

The three-year contract was secured through Inviron's excellent previous working relationship with BACS at Edgware.

Inviron's unparalleled levels of Building Services Maintenance experience and expertise within the facilities management sector, built-up over many years through the company's earlier identity within the ABB Group, were also significant factors.

Services include the supply of two shift engineers, working alongside the BACS shift personnel, who are required to have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the site's building services plant and equipment.

They are also required to carry out electrical testing and installation, as well as undertake maintenance and inspection on a wide range of plant including motor/pump sets, pipelines, filters, cooling towers, air handling units, ducts and compressors etc Inviron staff will also have to be in possession of the appropriate industry accepted Skills Card in compliance with the Government's Construction Skills Certification Scheme.

The provision of an Inviron help desk is also planned for use by the BACS facility in the event of contingencies and emergencies occurring out of normal working hours.

The contract award follows hot on the heels of the launch of Inviron, a management buy-out out of the highly respected ABB Building Systems business, which was planned and negotiated by senior building industry professionals Garry Metcalfe, Keith Gilliver and John Ryan O'Brien.

Inviron's Facilities Management and Service Director, Keith Gilliver, comments: 'We are delighted that BACS Limited has chosen Inviron to provide a skilled engineering resource for its operations.

This tender was won due to our professionalism, reliability on previous contracts, and detailed knowledge of the customer's requirements and expectations.

We are also the only building services company completely owned by its management and staff - compelling reasons - if any were needed - for our engineers to go that 'extra mile' in delivering the very best in service for the customer.'.
