New HVAC Automation Provides Seamless Connectivity
ABB's drives for the HVAC sector are now supported by software drivers for the Compass protocol conversion system, from North Communications.
The work, carried out by Inviron's Quality, Safety, Health and Environment (QSHE) team headed by QSHE Manager Sandra Clay, culminated in an external assessment in June, by certification body BM Trada.
The assessment involved a review of Inviron's Safety, Health and Environment management systems against the OHSAS 18001 standard, evidence of senior management commitment to QSHE, as well as inspections and audit reports.
Not only was Inviron's headquarters in Birmingham involved in the assessment, but also the company's network of nine offices across the UK and active 'on-site' locations.
Sandra Clay comments: 'The accreditation gives us a recognised safety standard and sends a strident message to our customers and sub-contractors alike that we take safety seriously within our business.' OHSAS 18001 (Health and Safety) management is recognised throughout the world and is fully compatible with ISO 9001:2000 (Quality) management and ISO 14001:1996 (Environmental) management systems - accreditations, which Inviron already holds.
