Abloy* Key To Power Station Security
Security at one of Ireland's most prestigious power stations is underpinned by ABLOY DISKLOCK PRO key cylinders and locks.
Floors, ceilings, walls and even display cases were not expected to line up or match.
This presented a significant challenge for Click Systems the assigned showcases designer.
To date, most Click Systems cabinets have traditionally been rectangular in shape.
In keeping with the unusual design of the museum, however, Click Systems had radically to revise the normal rectangular configuration of its MONO-3D system case fronts.
Managing Director, John French, explains that the challenge was, "To develop cabinets that incorporated acute and obtuse angles without compromising access or security.
To address this issue we worked closely with Abloy Security and eventually specified their Cam locks as standard fitments in all showcases".
Abloy Security CAM locks proved so versatile that Click Systems found it easy to install two locks in each of the 40 various shaped and sized showcases within the Imperial War Museum, North.
John French points out that, "These are simple to conceal, even in the most awkwardly shaped cabinet".
The mechanism chosen for the cam locks was the award winning ABLOY*DISKLOCK PRO cylinders.
This two way mechanism offers the additional security of a patent; and the ability to be master keyed to specific requirements.
As specialists in this field, Click Systems relies on the high quality of Abloy Security locking devices to ensure that museums don't have to worry about artefacts being tampered with or stolen.
Not only does Abloy Security offer products that exceed museum security demands for discreet and robust showcase locks but, in the case of the Imperial War Museum, North, where many guns are on display, the locks had to meet the approval of a Firearms expert as well.
John French is keen to stress that "Click Systems has always specified Abloy Security locks as standard, because they are designed to such a high quality ensuring the locking device never fails no matter how many times it is operated". Request a free brochure from Abloy UK ...
