Abloy* Key To Power Station Security
Security at one of Ireland's most prestigious power stations is underpinned by ABLOY DISKLOCK PRO key cylinders and locks.
It is pre-assembled to fit wood or metal doors of 35 to 57 mm thick and is non-handed; the lever can be changed in seconds to fit left or right handed doors.
There is no electrical wiring or computer required for programming and, as it has no batteries, the unit is maintenance free.
The lock features a direct drive so there is no need for a clutch mechanism; which decreases the possibility of internal breakage and subsequent linkage repairs.
Furthermore, the lock can easily replace an existing 1000 and L1000 installation with the addition of just two screw holes in the door.
The Unican 5000 allows users to gain entry via a code of up to five digits long via the keypad.
The ergonomic design of the lever means it can be operated by one-hand and only requires a 45º turn in either direction.
Free egress is always allowed by the inside lever handle ensuring a safe exit in an emergency.
For security, maintenance or emergency personnel, key override comes as standard with no control key needed.
Code changing takes seconds and the lock now has the option to have the code change facility on either side of the door.
For additional strength, the lock case housing is manufactured from solid cast stainless steel, with solid cast zinc levers and stainless steel cylindrical drive components.
The resilience of the unit means that it can withstand all weather conditions making it suitable for external as well as internal doors.
The Unican 5000 is suitable for use in many demanding applications including commercial, industrial, educational, governmental, lodging and multi-unit residential settings.
The lock provides mechanical pushbutton strength and reliability for a fraction of the cost of electronic access controls and also comes with a three-year warranty for peace of mind. Request a free brochure from Abloy UK ...
