Abloy Launches Virtually Silent Door Operators
Following extensive research and development, Abloy Security has launched its new DA300 automatic swing door operator, specially designed to provide virtually silent operation.
"We use ABLOY because it's an accepted name in the industry".
" Their locks are discrete and come in a variety of styles that meet our customers' specifications," says Mark Giddings, Managing Director at Giddings Design.
ABLOY's extensive range and prominence in the security sector has convinced Mark to use the premier lock manufacturer to meet the discerning tastes of Giddings Design's impressive client list, which includes many top watch makers, jewellery retailers and museums.
"My customers, which include Cartier, Asprey, Garrard and Harrods, want good visual display cases that will add value to the aesthetics of their shop, but will also secure their products." Designing display cases that tread the fine line between visual refinement and absolute protection has been a challenge that Giddings Design has been meeting for 30 years.
For over 15 of those, Marks says the company has used ABLOY cam and furniture locks.
"Whenever we've specified locks, we've always specified ABLOY's." The comprehensive and highly flexible cam and furniture lock range provides a number of security solutions for compact and discrete lock housings.
For instance, the ABLOY PROTEC CL104 cam lock, which is constructed from chrome and zinc-plated brass and steel, features nine locking discs and remains virtually undetectable due to its low profile.
Similarly, the robust chrome-plated housing of the ABLOY OF400 push-button lock meets the most refined aesthetic demands and highest security requirements.
The impressive range is offered in a variety of sizes with a choice of ABLOY cylinder mechanisms, all of which are based on a unique rotating disc principle.
The state-of-the-art design does not use pins or springs, which can wear over time, and are highly resistant to adverse climatic conditions.
More importantly, ABLOY cylinder mechanisms offer an enormous number of key combinations allowing for extensive master keying possibilities.
Mark says: "ABLOY locks are smaller than many other locks on the market, whilst offering higher levels of security." He suggests that this combination of size and quality goes some way to explaining their industry-wide reputation.
"I think the ABLOY name is accepted by more insurance companies because it means a higher quality of lock." Giddings Design manufactures a range of bespoke display cases that are generally constructed from timber, stainless steel or brass.
Employing 20 interior designers, engineers and skilled craftsmen, the company has amassed an unrivalled knowledge of the high-end retailing sector.
Mark says this has helped the company formulate striking designs that address the industry's demands for security and elegance.
"The first thing that catches someone's eye is the design, but then they consider the specifics - the functions, the lighting, the access and the security". Request a free brochure from Abloy UK ...
" Locks are a very important part of this equation, and the main advantage of using ABLOY is that they are recognised as a high-security solution.".
