Julie Crosby, Administration Manager for The Children's Society in York, explains: "PACT's aim is to ensure that disabled children and young people have their wishes and feelings taken into consideration in decision-making processes".
"As a result of our participation work, we get a lot of disabled children and young people coming to George House and it is essential that the premises is DDA compliant and fully accessible." To help them meet this specialised access requirement, The Children's Society's Regional Buildings Surveyor Chris Lee brought in local security and access control specialists Vador Security Systems.
Vador had previously installed an Abloy Master Key system, covering the front door, manager's office and two other offices, which provides an excellent balance between convenience and security for authorised staff at George House.
Vador's Russell Vasey specified Abloy door operators because of their excellent performance, and linked the Abloy DA400 external door operator to a video and intercom door entry system for added security at the entrance door.
To activate each of the six Abloy DA361 door operators installed on the major internal doors, Vador fitted easy to use Abloy electric switches on either side of the doors. Request a free brochure from Abloy UK ...
