Cliq Remote offers electronic security management

An Abloy UK product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Apr 16, 2009

Cliq Remote from Assa Abloy requires no wiring and is designed to help overcome security issues associated with traditional keys.

Due to the use of individually programmable cylinders and keys, the Cliq system offers complete electronic security management and control.

The Cliq Remote enables remote programming of cylinders and keys by wireless technology to grant variable access rights for personnel visiting remote, secure locations.

The remote offers a cost-effective extension to existing systems while providing for centralised administration, key management automation and an automated audit trail.

This makes Cliq suitable for applications in the health, education, retail, commercial and government premises, utilities and high-security installations.

The system's mechanical design creates the basic foundation, which is made up of different security zones or levels.

This flexibility allows users to combine electronic and mechanical cylinders in the same master key system.

The user keys feature an electronic ID, as well as the physical security features of a mechanical key.

Cliq keys can operate mechanical and electronic Cliq cylinders in the same master-key system.

Keys incorporate an internal quartz lock and carry an audit trail of the last 100 accesses and denials.

An electronic chip in the Cliq cylinders stores data in an encrypted format, including an audit trail of the last 1,000 accesses.

These cylinders can only be operated by Cliq keys.
