Access Technologies has extended its BoxBolt cavity fixings series with a new, corrosion-resistant option.

Steelwork connection specialists, Access Technologies - the company behind the popular BeamClamp range of steelwork fixings - has extended its BoxBolt cavity fixings series with a new, corrosion-resistant option Hot dip galvanised BoxBolt fixings will provide greater durability over standard electro zinc plated fixings in demanding construction, civil engineering, building services, process and plant engineering environments

BoxBolt cavity fixings from Access Technologies are a blind fixing solution for connecting steelwork into hollow section or where access is only available from one side without the need for on-site drilling or welding.

The new hot dip galvanised range will ensure that BoxBolts will continue to provide a strong and secure fixing throughout the lifetime of an installation, especially in exposed applications.

This high standard of performance will also result in lower maintenance costs for a BoxBolt installation.

Suitable for use with rectangular, square and even circular hollow sections, BoxBolt fixings feature a hexagon head design on the body to allow easy installation with a standard spanner.

Access Technologies also provides its unique BoxSokTM installation tool for dedicated use with BoxBolt fixings to speed installation time even further.

Access Technologies manufactures BoxBolt in M08, M10, M12, M16 and M20 bolt diameters and in a choice of three lengths for each size to allow for a large fixing range.

This versatility also ensures that the fixing ranges between size 1 to 2 and 2 to 3 overlap for applications where determining the exact fixing thickness is difficult.

BoxBolt is part of the successful Access Technologies BeamClamp range, a series of clamps for making steelwork connections.

BeamClamp provides significant advantages over other steelwork connection methods.

No on-site drilling or welding is necessary, eliminating the need for expensive skilled labour or power on site.

Also, unlike with traditional drilled or welded joints, BeamClamp fixings allow easy adjustment and re-alignment to cope with site tolerances, reducing installation difficulty and time.

The BeamClamp range is approved for use by Lloyds Register type approval, ensuring guaranteed safe working loads with a 5:1 factor of safety built in for extra peace of mind.

BeamClamp fixings are manufactured from ductile iron and typically give an improvement in greater tensile strength than ordinary malleable iron fixings.

All BeamClamps are hot dip galvanised as standard, giving significant corrosion resistance over ordinary zinc plated fixings.
