Access Technologies has extended its BoxBolt range of hot dip galvanised cavity fixings, part of the BeamClamp range of steelwork fixings The company has added new countersunk and button head options to its popular hexagon head style BoxBolt, and adapted its BoxSok installation tool to the new designs

These developments give extra choice in specification, especially where aesthetics are an important factor, and also help save time on site for contractors.

"The BoxBolt range has proved a breakthrough innovation in steelwork fixings" says Access Technologies' General Manager, Ian Page.

"As the first hot dip galvanised steelwork expansion bolts on the market, they have brought enormous durability and corrosion resistance benefits to meet specifier requirements".

"We will continue to listen to our customers and lead the sector as these latest product innovations show".

As the industry standard in steelwork cavity fixings for civil, structural engineering and general construction applications, BeamClamp's BoxBolt range provide a blind fixing solution for connecting steelwork into hollow or box sections.

They can also be used where access is only available from one side, without the need for on-site drilling or welding use.

In those architecturally sensitive applications where the BoxBolt head is visible, then the countersunk or button head style offer a neat, attractive finish, without compromising on the structural integrity of the connection.

Installation of these new head options is made faster and simpler with the use of the unique BoxSok tool which features a specially designed socket to hold the BoxBolt body in place whilst allowing tightening of the bolt's inner socket and fin expansion.

A BoxBolt fixing can be used with rectangular, square and even circular hollow sections.

Manufactured in M08, M10, M12, M16 and M20 bolt diameters, BoxBolts are available in a choice of three lengths for each size to allow for a large fixing range.

This versatility also ensure that the fixing ranges between size 1 to 2 and 2 to 3 overlap for application where determining the exact fixing thickness is difficult, making them especially easy to work with in contrast to other steel fixings on the market.

BoxBolts are specifically developed for the requirements of the modern construction industry, bringing unique benefits of easy specification and use, high safety performance and long-lasting reliability to all applications today.

Since the start of 2006, over 300,000 BoxBolt units have already been supplied for use in the UK and across the globe via the Access Technologies' international distribution network.
