The 2009 edition examines the features of Vienite which has been developed to provide an ecological alternative to traditional polymer and resin concrete compounds.

It has been designed to meet the growing demand from designers and specifiers for high performance, sustainable products manufactured from locally sourced materials.

Peter Ridgway, Market Development Director, ACO said: "The objectives for the Vienite programme were to overcome the legitimate concerns that had rightly been voiced about the sub-standard performance of some recycled materials and to ensure that the material could be produced consistently on the most energy efficient, low-carbon manufacturing platform".

Vienite is the result of a two year research and development programme and substantial financial investment by ACO.

Vienite has now replaced traditional polymer concrete in all the company's monocast and channel drainage products and accessories.
