Aconex to service London school developments
Aconex will provide its online information management service to the London Borough of Hackney's Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme.
"Uptake of our solution is increasing rapidly in the Gulf Region and Aconex is now servicing projects across Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain".
"This deal consolidates our position as the leading provider of construction collaboration technology in the Middle East," says Jasper.
Due for completion in 2009, Lulu Island is a multi-purpose development situated on a 563,000m2 man-made island in Manama, Bahrain.
The development will include the construction of 39 residential buildings, 1 residential Icon Tower, a 300 room five star hotel with SPA villas, restaurants, shopping arcades, a private marina and yacht club, an aquarium, and an exhibition centre, 65 villas and 49 beach chalets with a 13,000m2 swimming pool.
Aconex will streamline communication and facilitate collaboration on the project by managing data - including documents, workflows and correspondence - online through one central site.
This will enable project participants, such as project managers, architects, engineers and consultants, to view, track and share their documents at any time, and from any location.
Through using Aconex, Lulu Tourism Company expects to: save time through quick and easy information access; reduce costs such as couriers, printing and stationery; and reduce risks such as information loss and disputes.
Elias Karaan, Lulu Tourism Company General Manager, said: "Lulu Tourism Company is pleased to have signed a contract with Aconex to provide online management solutions to handle the large volume of documentation and correspondence that will need to be managed effectively to ensure the project is completed on time and budget".
"The aim of Lulu Tourism Company is to set new standards in real estate development in Bahrain and contribute to the economy and community of the Kingdom of Bahrain.".
