Adams Rite Europe Ltd has launched a new exit device, the 900 Series exit bar, that conforms to the latest BS EN 1125:1997+A1: 2001 legislation and allows safe and effective escape through a doorway.

Adams Rite Europe Ltd, one of the UK's leading security solutions providers, has launched a new exit device, the 900 Series exit bar, that conforms to the latest BS EN 1125:1997+A1: 2001 legislation and allows safe and effective escape through a doorway with minimum effort Experience has shown that in terms of general safety and escape from buildings in a panic situation, it is desirable that doors or exits in public buildings, places of entertainment, retail outlets etc, should be fitted with panic devices operated by a horizontal bar

The emphasis on such devices is to provide a safe exit and it is now mandatory under BS EN 1125 that a minimum of 60% door width is covered by the bar.

The stylish new 900 Series horizontal exit bar provides easy release over the full width of the bar and is suitable for use with timber, aluminium and steel door materials.

It is available in five standard widths, from 600 -1200mm and bars may be cut to a minimum door width of 515mm (using the 600mm bar) where required.

Heavy-duty mortise deadlatch, surface or concealed vertical rod versions are available.

Options include cylinder dogging, single/double monitoring for access control and external trim and finishes in satin anodised, black or bronze.

A 'Push Bar to Open' sign is included with each bar.
