Access control for aluminium doors

An Adams Rite Europe product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Aug 17, 2007

Adams Rite introduce Codelock, a mechanical access control device that can be fitted on aluminium-framed emergency exit and panic exit doors.

The Adams Rite Codelock is a mechanical alternative to electronic keypads, electric strikes, magnetic locks and other systems used on aluminium doors.

Easy to install and simply configured for left or right-hand hung doors, it is suitable for both new and retrofit applications.

Codelock has a PVD stainless steel finish and is supplied with cams, fixing tabs and lever handles as standard.

Paddle handle and exit bar options mean Codelock can also be provided as a complete external entry door trim package that conforms to BS EN 1125:14997+A1:2001 and BS EN 179:1998+A1:2001 respectively.

For additional security and safety, it is possible to override the code and retract the latch using a physical access control key, which can also be used to lock out code users.
