Adams Rite update on new locking
standards
Adams Rite, presented on the new locking standards applicable to the building industry to the CAB (Council for Aluminium in Building) Technical Committee.
Andy Stolworthy, Technical Officer for Adams Rite who represents CAB interests on various standards committees, presented the CAB Technical Committee with an update on the new locking standards applicable to the building industry CAB members come from all areas of the aluminium building sector and Andy's audience listened to his presentation about the latest security developments in the building sector with great interest

Andy covered various points on locking standards and how the industry needs to work towards new requirements and take stock of the constant developments and amendments made to the regulations.
Within the presentation Andy demonstrated the new forms of attack against lock cylinders and stressed how the industry needs to work towards preventing these attacks by ensuring its products comply with the enhanced standards.
The session also focussed on the revisions of standards EN1125 and EN179 which Adams Rite is encouraging the industry to work towards in product development programmes.
